McCain Has Gone Into Remission

Just like Fred Thompson's cancer, Senator John McCain is shrinking in the face of opposition. Poll results over Easter weekend were released today showing the continued shakedown in the GOP race:

The growing support for Fred Thompson is to me utterly inexplicable, unless it's simply that voters don't trust a politician as much as they trust someone who plays one on TV.

The other noteworthy outcome is that 14% are still admittedly unsure, which presumably means that twice that number again are less than sold on their candidate of preference. There's a lot of room for a move from the outside; I just hope it's by somebody with a longer record in public service than on IMDB.
