One Revolution In

After one trip through the rotation, the Red Sox and Yankees each stood at 2-3. But the starting pitching tells a different story; FireBrand compiled the lines, including Schilling's second start*:
Schilling: 11 IP, 12 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 11 K
Beckett: 5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 5 K
Matsuzaka: 7 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 10 K
Wakefield: 6 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
Tavarez: 4 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 5 BB, 3 K
Totals: 33 IP, 29 H, 3.82 ERA, 33/15 K/BB

Pavano: 4.1 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
Pettitte: 5 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 3 K
Mussina: 4 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 4 K
Igawa: 5 IP, 8 H, 7 ER, 3 BB, 2 K
Rasner: 4.1 IP, 8 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
Totals: 22.1 IP, 36 H, 11.00 ERA, 13/14 K/BB
Only one Yankee starter (Pettitte) had a better game - and only marginally so - than Julian Tavarez.

* Yes, using Schill's two starts instead of his implosive first one introduces bias. Your point?
